Maintenance and Inspection

A maintenance and inspection regime should cover the following:

  • Cleaning at regular intervals taking account of the operating environment. Minimum every 12 months.
  • Light level testing using a calibrated illuminance meter. Where colour rendering is important, a method should be in place to identify unacceptable changes in colour rendering.
  • Reactive maintenance covering like for like replacements and WEEE disposal of end of life products.
  • Electrical inspection in accordance with manufacturer instructions, or IET Guidance Note 3 (Inspection and Testing).

Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting should be inspected and tested periodically, in accordance with current regulations. We can assist with this.
