The Feed-in Tariff for Off-Grid Systems

Introduction

For the purposes of the Feed-in Tariff, off-grid systems receive the same tariff rate as on-grid systems, provided they power a building. However, the solar output needs to be metered with a generation meter, and for this reason the system needs to be AC only as there are no approved DC meters. A typical schematic is as below.
