Powerwall 3 Vs Sigenergy SigenStor

On-roof solar panels are one of the most cost-effective ways to generate cheap, renewable energy to power your home and its all about making the most of your roof space and maximising the surface area covered by photovoltaic cells. Our job as designers is to get the most out of your roof and in turn maximise your rate of return.
Installing solar panels on flat roofs is a very sensible thing to do, and with flat roof solar it's all about scale. The more panels that you can squeeze on your roof, the better the economy of scale. Flat roof solar panels are very cost-effective, and there are different types of flat roof mounting systems available. As with pitched roof solar panels, it's all about maximising the surface area with photovoltaic cells.
If you have a lot of land then it makes perfect sense to install ground mounted solar panels. Unlike roof-mounted systems, you get a lot more freedom with ground mounted panels as you can angle the panels perfectly south and set them up to be at the optimal pitch to maximise solar generation.
Ground mounted solar panels are all about scale, and tend to be very cost-effective if you're looking for a system with more than 20 panels and relatively short cable runs.
Mounting solar panels on your wall is a great way to maximise the potential solar generation at your house. Wall mounted panels are very cheap to install, and typically outperform roof mounted panels in the winter months when the sun is lower in the sky.

Ofgem granted Tesla Energy Ventures an electricity supply licence on 11 March 2026, making Tesla the only home battery manufacturer in Great Britain that can also sell a household its electricity (Octopus is releasing a home battery soon too!). The hardware has moved with it, and a three-phase Powerwall went on sale in Germany on 23 April. A Powerwall is the way into all of it.
